Job Description
As a Junior Sales Administrator, your main responsibility varies from role to role, the main focus is customer-focused and administrative tasks. Depending on the business, business unit, and industry, you can specialize in a specific area, deepen your expertise, or combine different sales administration tasks to become a strong all-rounder.
Different functions within Sales Administration:
- Sales Support: Assists sales teams with day-to-day administrative tasks: preparing sales reports, tracking KPIs, providing insights.
- Sales Coordination: Coordinates activities between sales, customers, logistics, finance, and other internal teams.
- Sales Operations: Supports the efficiency of the sales organisation through reporting, processes, data management, and CRM administration.
- Customer Serivce Order to cash (order management): Handles customer orders from entry to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Customer Care: Acts as a key point of contact for B2b or B2C customers, answering questions and resolving issues.
- CRM Administration: Maintains customer and sales data, updates records, and supports CRM processes and reporting.
- Quote & Contract Administration: Prepares quotations, manages contracts, and ensures pricing and terms are accurate.
- Pricing & Sales Administration: Supports pricing updates, discounts, promotions, and sales-related calculations.
- Inside Sales Representatives: Manage customer relationships remotely, identify sales opportunities, generate leads, & prepare quotations.
- Tender & Bid Administration: Supports the preparation and submission of tenders, bids, and commercial documentation.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Junior Sales Administrator Should Have:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in multiple languages is a strong advantage.
- A customer-oriented mindset with a basic understanding of sales and commercial awareness.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, experience with CRM and ERP systems is a plus.
