Functional Analyst - Freelance – Pharmaceutical Sector – Antwerp
A leading client of ours in the pharmaceutical sector is seeking a skilled and analytical Functional Analyst to act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. The role focuses on understanding business requirements, analysing existing processes, translating business needs into functional specifications, and supporting the delivery of effective IT solutions.
Working in a healthcare environment, the Functional Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve business processes, enhance system performance, support digital transformation initiatives, and ensure that technology solutions meet business and operational requirements.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyse and document business requirements and functional specifications.
- Translate business needs into user stories, use cases and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams and project managers.
- Analyse business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support functional testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) and defect resolution.
- Maintain functional documentation and ensure alignment between business requirements and IT solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and support system implementation and continuous improvement.
Required Skills
- Experience in business analysis, functional analysis or requirements management.
- Strong skills in requirements gathering, process mapping and functional documentation.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Familiarity with UAT, functional testing and defect management.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio or SQL is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English; Dutch and/or French is an advantage.
START DATE: ASAP
DURATION: 12 Months
CONTRACT: Freelance
LOCATION: Antwerp (2 days per week)
ONSITE POLICY: Flexible
HOURS PER WEEK: 40
