- Sit with defence and security users to understand situational-awareness and force-protection priorities and scope solutions
- Design, build and deploy data pipelines, ontology models and operator-facing applications on Palantir Foundry
- Integrate live intelligence into existing workflows, common operating pictures and command-and-control tooling
- Build and tune custom widgets based on user needs
- Own solutions end to end, from initial whiteboard sketch through operational deployment
- Debug infrastructure, networking and application issues across the full stack in restricted, disconnected or on-premise settings
- Advise customer engineers and operators and relay feedback into the product
- Travel to customer sites and operations centres in Europe approximately 25% to 75% of the time
Requirements
- Strong engineering background in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, physics or an equally technical field
- Hands-on Palantir Foundry experience with pipelines, ontology, Compute Modules, Code Repositories, Workbooks and application development
- Fluency in at least one of Python, Java, SQL, TypeScript, JavaScript, Bash or Go
- Three years or more of professional software or forward-deployed / solutions engineering experience shipping systems into production
- Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar platform architectures and data models
- Experience with Docker or Podman, Kubernetes or OpenShift, Linux, networking and on-premise fundamentals
- Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Willingness to travel and work on site in secure customer facilities
- Candidates must have the right to work in the EU, or be UK-based
- Nice to have: experience delivering software in classified, air-gapped or disconnected environments
- Nice to have: defence, intelligence, national-security or emergency-management background
- Nice to have: geospatial platforms and common-operating-picture tooling such as Esri or ArcGIS
- Nice to have: front-end frameworks and data-rich operator applications
- Nice to have: familiarity with NATO and national defence accreditation and compliance
- Nice to have: a second European language
