Role Description
The Sports Physical Therapist will provide hands‑on, evidence‑based care to athletes and active individuals in an on‑site clinical setting in Kapellen. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include performing comprehensive assessments, developing individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans, and delivering advanced orthopaedic and sport physical therapy interventions. The role involves close collaboration with patients to guide recovery from complex musculoskeletal injuries, optimize performance, and implement injury prevention strategies. The therapist will also track clinical outcomes, document care accurately, and integrate current research findings into practice. This is a full‑time on‑site role.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Physical Therapy with experience in sport‑specific rehabilitation and performance optimization.
- Competence in Orthopedics, including musculoskeletal assessment, differential diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Skills in Injury Prevention and Strength & Conditioning to support safe return to sport and long‑term movement health.
- Excellent Patient Care abilities, including clear communication, empathy, and collaboration with diverse athletic and active populations.
- Relevant degree in Physical Therapy and appropriate professional licensure/registration for practice in Belgium.
- Experience working with athletes or in a sports medicine setting is highly beneficial.
- Ability to interpret and apply clinical research, and interest in evidence‑based and data‑informed practice.
- Strong organizational skills, reliability in documentation, and commitment to continual professional development.
