Job Description

As Strategy Lead - BESS & RES, you will contribute to the development and growth of Flexcity's BESS & RES offering, with a focus on strategy, growth, product execution, delivery, and knowledge sharing.

Your role sits at the intersection of product, commercial growth, technology, and operations. You will work across Flexcity and Veolia teams to develop the BESSt offering, support growth opportunities, and ensure successful delivery of innovative services.

Your role is structured around four main areas:

BESS & RES Product Strategy — 40%

• Develop a compelling BESS & RES product vision based on market needs and trends that drives and inspires Flexcity and continuously work on discovering our future products.

• Define and track performance metrics and market fit of existing products to ensure continuous improvements.

• Ensure internal teams are aware of the product features and developments.

• Master topics related to your segment and continuously improve/update your industry knowledge & knowledge of the BESS & RES ecosystem. This includes your competitors and key trends in new technology, as well as customer behaviours and expectations and regulations such as subsidies. You ensure the commercial, product & operational teams can access this knowledge.

• Participate in the Flexcity Strategic Committee and lead on selected topics across BESS, RES and other segments.

BESS & RES Market Growth — 20%

• You become Flexcity’s go-to person for understanding characteristics and needs of BESS & RES customers across all Flexcity’s geographies.

• You become an expert on the BESS & RES customers, their issues, pains, desires, how they acknowledge their problems, their business processes, how they work, and how they decide to buy.

• Drive growth, focusing on enhancing sales & operational efficiency by developing scalable tools and standard features.

• Support the sales and growth teams in closing complex commercial deals that require a deep understanding of the industry and/or Flexcity's products and value proposition.

• Ensure commercial teams know the product’s current features and understand the deltas between out-of-the-box capabilities and custom needs for new customers.

• Support Head of Growth on go-to market strategy & commercialization of new offerings.

• Establish a strong relationship with your stakeholders and business partners. Build partnerships & relations in close coordination with the Growth team that will enable the growth of the heat offering of Flexcity.

Product Execution and Delivery — 20%

• Work with technology department and Product Team to ensure alignment with product goals and provide a deep understanding of business needs by Technology

• Support go-live of innovative services & smooth handover to operational teams thereafter.

• Provide input on feature delivery, maintaining a balance between development effort and impact, while focusing on delivering value to customers.

Mentoring & Leadership — 20%

• Mentor & support local sales, portfolio managers, and analysts on BESS & RES-related topics, this includes internal knowledge sharing & external thought leadership.

• Foster a culture of growth, collaboration, accountability, rapid testing and learning within the colleagues at Flexcity and Veolia working on heat-related topics.
