We are seeking an experienced DPO/Privacy Expert with a strong background in Privacy and Data Protection. The successful candidate will support organizations in addressing their privacy, data protection, and compliance challenges while helping them prepare for new and emerging regulations impacting data, technology, and artificial intelligence.

This role combines hands‑on expertise, advisory capabilities, and the ability to translate regulatory requirements into pragmatic and future‑proof solutions. The DPO/Privacy Expert will work on challenging assignments for one or more clients while contributing to an environment where knowledge sharing and subject matter expertise are central.

Act as a trusted advisor to clients on privacy and data protection related topics.

Support organizations in meeting current regulatory requirements and preparing for new and emerging legislation.

Advise management and other stakeholders on privacy, compliance, process, and risk management matters.

Translate regulatory requirements into pragmatic, practical, and future‑proof solutions.

GDPR & Compliance Expertise

Demonstrate strong knowledge of GDPR and its practical application.

Conduct and support DPIAs/PIAs, RoPAs, Privacy by Design activities, and privacy incident management processes.

Address complex privacy challenges in a pragmatic and risk‑based manner.

Lead assignments independently and provide expert guidance within client environments.

Emerging Regulations & AI Governance

Contribute to initiatives related to the EU AI Act, AI Governance, and AI‑related privacy challenges.

Support clients in understanding the growing intersection between privacy, data, risk, compliance, and artificial intelligence.

Further develop expertise across both established and emerging compliance domains.

Job requirements

Required Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in privacy and Data Protection, preferably as a DPO or in a senior privacy role;

Certified Data Protection Officer (DPO) combined with hands‑on experience acting as DPO

Strong knowledge of GDPR and hands on experience with DPIAs/PIAs, RoPAs, Privacy by Design, and privacy incident management;

Experience in process and risk management, with the ability to advise management and other stakeholders;

The seniority and autonomy to lead assignments independently and address complex privacy challenges in a pragmatic way;

Excellent communication skills and fluency in both Dutch and English;

Knowledge of French is considered a plus;

Knowledge of, or experience with, the EU AI Act, AI Governance, and AI related privacy challenges is a strong asset;

Experience working within complex organizations and/or across diverse client environments is an additional advantage.
