About DEO.care
At DEO.care, we believe every hospital should run the operating room (OR) as efficiently as possible. Why? Because an efficient OR benefits everyone: patients get faster access to surgery, staff experience less stress, and hospitals save resources.
We achieve this by combining our execution engine, built on high-resolution workflow data, with on-site expertise to uncover improvement opportunities in the OR. Our approach enables hospitals to improve patient flow, optimise surgical capacity, and make better value-based healthcare (VBHC) decisions. We also support healthcare industry partners to introduce new technologies in a real-world, data-driven way.
We are a fast-growing health tech company headquartered in Belgium, working with hospitals across Europe. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Medical Engineer.
Your Role
As a Medical Engineer, you will be the bridge between data, clinical practice, and improvement.
You will:
- Spend time in the operating room (typically 2 days per week) capturing and analysing process data with DEO.care's technology.
- Translate data-driven insights into practical, tailored strategies to improve OR efficiency.
- Advise hospital teams on implementing these improvements and act as a trusted partner.
- Build strong client relationships and contribute to DEO.care's reputation as an expert in OR efficiency and VBHC.
- Your work will focus primarily on hospitals in Europe, with opportunities to support projects in other regions when relevant.
Your Profile
- Technical or medical background, ideally a master's degree (or a relevant bachelor's degree).
- Experience in consulting, process improvement, medical technology, or OR workflows is a plus.
- Excellent command of English.
- German, French and/or Spanish are a strong plus. Knowledge of Dutch and/or Italian is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% across EMEA (occasional weekend travel, compensated).
- European B driving license.
- Analytical skills to turn data into clear, solution-oriented actions.
- Confident, diplomatic communicator with strong presentation skills.
- Independent, proactive, and comfortable in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
- Curious and eager to learn every day.
What We Offer
- A full-time hybrid role (40 hours).
- Competitive salary package with benefits.
- Company car and fuel card.
- Intensive onboarding and continuous training to help you grow.
- A dynamic, entrepreneurial work environment with a motivated team and flat hierarchy.
- The chance to work on international projects across Europe and beyond.
- Hybrid work with flexible presence at our HQ in Paal-Beringen (once a week, depending on travel).
