SGI is looking for an experienced C++ Software Engineer to join a long-term project with an international organisation based in the Antwerp region for 12 months, with possible extensions.
On-site 3 days p/w
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications within a Linux environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain software using modern C++.
- Lead technical development and contribute to software architecture decisions.
- Develop and optimise applications running on Linux platforms.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and improve software performance.
- Collaborate with other engineers and technical stakeholders.
- Support code reviews, testing and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with modern C++ (C++11/14/17 or later).
- Previous experience in a Senior or Lead Software Engineering role.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, multithreading and software design.
- Experience with Git and modern development practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
