KU Leuven invites applications for a PhD project in physics to study ferroelectric/ferromagnetic/ superconducting heterostructures and electric control of superconductivity. The project aims to reveal how FE/FM layers influence SC properties and to tune them via electric fields.
We will synthesize Si/FE/FM1/SC/FM2 stacks (BaTiO3, Fe, Co40Fe60, NbN) and characterize interfaces with X-ray, AFM, Atom Probe Tomography, and Rutherford Backscattering, complemented by magnetic measurements at cryogenic
