Are you an experienced Senior Consultant / Solution Architect who wants to lead the design and delivery of a large-scale Microsoft 365 intranet transformation programme?
This is far more than a SharePoint implementation.
You'll help shape the future digital workplace for a complex multi-organisation environment, delivering a modern intranet experience that connects employees, improves collaboration and makes information easier to discover across multiple Microsoft 365 tenants.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery workshops and gather business, technical and user requirements.
- Define intranet strategy, information architecture, governance and adoption plans.
- Design and implement SharePoint Online intranet solutions, including hub sites, communication sites, search, metadata and content structures.
- Develop multi-tenant collaboration, security and access models across four Microsoft 365 tenants.
- Plan content migration, governance, compliance and lifecycle management.
- Drive user adoption through communications, training and change management.
- Provide technical leadership, manage risks and oversee project delivery through to handover.
- 5+ years delivering SharePoint Online solutions.
- Proven track record designing and delivering modern SharePoint intranets.
- Experience leading at least three large-scale intranet implementations covering discovery, design, build, rollout and adoption.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, working with executives, communications, IT and governance teams.
- Experience with multi-tenant Microsoft 365 environments, cross-tenant collaboration and complex identity/access scenarios.
- Experience within Higher Education or similarly large, federated organisations.

- Viva Connections, Viva Engage and Microsoft Search.
- Information architecture, taxonomy, metadata and search optimisation.
- Governance, security, compliance, retention and Microsoft Purview.
- Third-party integrations.
- WCAG 2.2 accessibility expertise.
- Microsoft Copilot and AI-enabled intranet capabilities.
- Intranet analytics and user experience measurement.
- Discovery and requirements documentation.
- Information architecture and governance framework.
- Site and security design documentation.
- Migration strategy and rollout plan.
- Training and adoption materials.
- Pilot deployment, production rollout and handover documentation.
