The SAP team consists of approximately 30 colleagues and supports applications for payroll and career management. HR Rail operates an integrated SAP S/4HANA environment covering HR, finance and connections with other applications.

As Senior SAP Security Specialist, you work with business, IT and SAP teams to design and maintain secure access, improve authorisations and support the further development of the SAP environment.

What will you be doing?

  • Design, maintain and optimise SAP roles and authorisations in line with business needs and security requirements.
  • Analyse access requests, grant or revoke approved access and resolve authorisation incidents. Track requests and changes through tools such as Jira and the SAP Support Portal.
  • Support role owners with access reviews, analyse Segregation of Duties conflicts and help monitor privileged access, emergency access and technical accounts.
  • Implement security settings for passwords and technical users. Advise project teams on security solutions within the agreed architecture, budget and planning.
  • Perform authorisation and regression tests and coordinate role deployments across development, test, acceptance and production environments.
  • Support internal and external audits, follow up corrective actions and document roles and procedures.

What experience do you bring?

  • Extensive SAP Security experience and strong knowledge of authorisation objects, role design, user administration and access troubleshooting in S/4HANA and Fiori.
  • A degree in IT or equivalent experience. Knowledge of SAP HR, particularly payroll and time management, is a strong asset.
