Description
As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role within the Engineering Department. You will be responsible for the technical implementation of projects as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will ensure the consistency and quality of designs, monitor project functionality, and proactively assess how new concepts may impact project execution. You will take the necessary actions to ensure successful delivery.
Your responsibilities include:
- Working closely with Project Leaders and fellow Project Engineers, focusing primarily on the technical aspects of projects, while Project Leaders oversee organizational aspects.
- Being actively involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, from feasibility studies and conceptual design to project completion.
- Acting as the key interface between the design team, technical experts, and the Project Leader.
- Contributing to the technical development of project scope and design through various engineering studies.
- Guiding the design team during detailed engineering phases and ensuring studies are completed according to scope, quality standards, and timelines.
- Communicating and reporting project progress to relevant stakeholders.
Within the Engineering Department, several Project Engineering (PE) specializations exist, each with its own technical focus:
- PE PAC (scope of this position): Protection, Automation, and Control Systems.
- PE Lines: Overhead transmission lines and towers connecting substations.
- PE SUB: High-voltage equipment within substations, utility buildings, and low-voltage power distribution (400Vac and 110Vdc).
- PE CW: Civil works, foundations, and buildings.
Profile
- Master's degree in Engineering (Civil or Industrial Engineering), preferably with a focus on Construction.
- Knowledge of electricity grids is considered an asset.
- Very good command of Dutch and a good understanding of French.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical problems.
- Initial professional experience is required.
