Forward Deployed Engineer, Security Clearance

• Understand defence and security users’ needs in situational awareness and force protection
• Scope solutions for operational requirements
• Design, build and deploy Palantir Foundry data pipelines, ontology models and operator-facing applications
• Integrate live intelligence into workflows, common operating pictures and command-and-control tooling
• Build and tune custom widgets
• Own solutions end to end with limited supervision
• Debug infrastructure, networking and applications across restricted, disconnected or on-premise environments
• Advise customer engineers and operators technically
• Incorporate customer feedback into the product
• Travel to customer sites and operations centres in Europe approximately 25%–75% of the time

Requirements

• Strong engineering background in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, physics or an equally technical field
• Hands-on Palantir Foundry experience, including pipelines, ontology, Compute Modules, Code Repositories, Workbooks and application development
• Fluency in at least one of Python, Java, SQL, TypeScript, JavaScript, Bash or Go
• Three or more years of professional software or forward-deployed/solutions engineering experience shipping systems into production
• Ability to learn unfamiliar platform architectures and data models quickly
• Experience with Docker or Podman containers and Kubernetes or OpenShift orchestration
• Solid Linux, networking and on-premise fundamentals
• Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Active NATO clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain one
• Willingness to travel and work on site in secure customer facilities
• Right to work in the EU, or UK-based eligibility
• Nice to have: experience in classified, air-gapped or disconnected environments
• Nice to have: defence, intelligence, national-security or emergency-management background
• Nice to have: geospatial platforms such as Esri or ArcGIS, common-operating-picture tooling, or command-and-control systems
• Nice to have: front-end frameworks and data-rich operator applications
• Nice to have: familiarity with NATO and national defence accreditation and compliance
• Nice to have: a second European language
