Our client is a well-established Belgian non-profit organization that delivers meaningful social impact through a combination of direct services, community engagement, and strategic partnerships. The organization is part of a global organization.
For their offices in Brussels, employing a small team, we are looking for an inspiring and entrepreneurial CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER to guide its future direction.
The Opportunity
You will be responsible for the overall leadership, strategic development and long-term
sustainability of the organization
This role offers the opportunity to combine visionary leadership with hands‑on execution in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Strategic and organizational leadership
- Governance and Board relations
- Leadership of fundraising initiatives
- People leadership; lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team
- Partnership and Resource Development
- External representation; act as a credible spokesperson and ambassador for the organization.
The Candidate Profile
- Proven professional experience in leading organizations combining both strategic and operational management responsibilities. Experience can be gained within corporate and/or non-profit/NGO environments
- Experience in leading, motivating and developing teams
- Outstanding communication and relation-building skills
- Experience in fundraising, partnership and stakeholder engagement
- Outstanding planning and organisational skills
- Pro‑active, dynamic, hands‑on with strong listening skills
- Affinity with mission-driven organizations and social impact
- Fluency in Dutch, English and French.
