Contract
Talencia is looking for a DevOps NGINX Engineer for one of its clients.
Location: Brussels
Start date: ASAP
Duration: Long-term
Profiel
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in Networking and Security environments.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Team-oriented and proactive mindset.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- English is mandatory (written and spoken).
- French and/or Dutch is a plus.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Technical requirements
- Operating systems & Security:
- Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Excellent knowledge of SELinux administration and troubleshooting
- Experience with system hardening, patching, and performance tuning
- Automation & configuration management:
- Strong expertise in Ansible
- Ability to develop and maintain playbooks, roles, and inventories
- Infrastructure automation and configuration management experience
- Web & Network services:
- Expertise with NGINX / NGINX+ as Reverse Proxy and Load Balancer
- Experience with F5 Approtect Web Application Firewall
- Experience with Opswat MetaDefender AV/AM solutions
- Solid understanding of HTTP/HTTPS protocols and web security concepts
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP, TLS, and DNS
- DevOps & CI/CD:
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps
- Experience designing and implementing YAML-based CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of Azure Repos, Artifacts, and deployment pipelines
- Version Control:
- Advanced GIT knowledge:
- Branching strategies
- Rebasing and conflict resolution
- Tagging and cherry-picking
- Pull request workflows
- Advanced GIT knowledge:
- Scripting & programming:
- Strong Bash scripting skills
- Working knowledge of Python
- Knowledge of Java is considered an asset
Aanbod
The consultant is expected to be present on-site in Brussels at least once per month. Additional on-site presence may be required depending on project needs.
