At Cohabs, we create high-quality living spaces and communities across Europe. We are looking for an Accountant Intern based in Belgium to support the accounting team with the day-to-day accounting of our French entity and contribute to our monthly closing process.
What you’ll be doing:
- Invoice Management: Encode and process customer and supplier invoices for our French entity.
- Bank Reconciliation: Prepare bank reconciliations and help ensure accounting records are accurate and up to date.
- Supplier Payments: Follow up on supplier payments and support the team in ensuring invoices are paid on time.
- Payroll Accounting: Encode payroll journal entries and support the accounting team with payroll-related accounting tasks.
- Monthly Closing: Participate in the monthly closing process, including reviewing the income statement and identifying discrepancies.
- Supporting the analysis and recording of provisions.
- Reviewing and reconciling accounts to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
What we’re looking for:
- Relevant Background: You are currently studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field.
- Numbers Person: You are comfortable working with numbers and have a structured, rigorous approach to your work.
- Curious Mindset: You are curious, motivated, and not afraid to ask questions - even lots of them.
- Attention to Detail: You are organized, reliable, and pay close attention to detail.
- Digital Native: You have first experience with Excel or Google Sheets; knowledge of accounting software is a plus but not required.
- Team Player: You enjoy working with others, are willing to learn, and can contribute to a fast-paced international environment.
- Language Skills: You are comfortable working in French; English is a plus.
- Starting date: January 2027
- Salary range to expect: 850€ / month
