Store Manager

For our O’Neill store in Knokke, we are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Store Manager to join us in 2027. In this role, you will take full ownership of the store and team, driving both strong commercial performance and operational excellence.

As Store Manager, you are the face of O’Neill on the shop floor. You create an inspiring customer experience, lead your team by example and ensure that commercial targets are achieved. You take ownership, make decisions and make sure things get done.

As Store Manager, you are responsible for the day-to-day running and overall performance of the O’Neill store in Knokke.

You are a strong people leader who knows how to build and motivate a team, while also being commercially driven and hands-on. You keep an overview of the business, take initiative and are comfortable making decisions independently.

You are responsible for ensuring that O’Neill standards across customer service, visual merchandising, stock management and store operations are consistently maintained.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead the full store team and create a positive, energetic and results-driven working environment
• Take ownership of the store’s commercial performance, actively managing sales, KPIs and targets
• Translate commercial targets into clear actions on the shop floor and inspire the team to achieve them
• Recruit, onboard, train, coach and develop team members
• Create staff schedules and ensure efficient store coverage
• Conduct feedback and performance conversations and actively support team development
• Deliver an outstanding customer experience and lead by example on the shop floor
• Implement and maintain O’Neill standards for visual merchandising, store layout and product presentation
• Take responsibility for stock management, stock accuracy, deliveries, transfers and administration
• Plan and execute promotions, product launches and product changes
• Ensure the store is operationally ready every day and consistently meets O’Neill standards
• Work closely with the Area Manager and head office to deliver commercial and operational objectives
• Represent the O’Neill brand and ensure an authentic brand experience throughout the store
• Take full ownership of the store: identify what needs to be done, take initiative and make it happen

About You

We are looking for an experienced retail professional and strong people leader who is capable of independently running a store.

You bring:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a retail management position, ideally as a Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager or in a comparable role
• Proven experience independently leading a team and taking responsibility for the day-to-day operations and commercial performance of a store
• A strong commercial mindset and experience managing sales targets, KPIs and results
• Strong people management skills, with experience coaching, motivating and developing team members
• Experience with staff scheduling, stock management and day-to-day retail operations
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide clear direction
• A proactive, entrepreneurial and solution-oriented mindset
• A hands-on mentality — you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get involved
• A genuine passion for boardsports, fashion and the O’Neill lifestyle is a strong plus
