The project
Join an international project supporting.
You will design, develop and maintain scalable back-end services and business logic, developing APIs and data-storage solutions while integrating front-end elements with server-side logic. The role involves implementing authentication, secure coding, logging and monitoring, as well as performing unit/integration testing and CI/CD integration to troubleshoot and optimise performance for this high-impact platform.
Requirements
- University degree equivalent to EQF Level 7 (Master's degree or equivalent to five years of higher education).
- Minimum 15 years of professional IT experience.
- English B2 or higher, both written and spoken.
- 10+ years of experience in Java application design and development, including I/O, concurrency, localisation and modern Java features.
- 10+ years of combined experience with MariaDB and MySQL.
- 10+ years of experience with JPA/Hibernate.
- 10+ years of experience with RESTful API development and service integration.
- 5+ years of experience with Big Data technologies, including Hadoop, Cassandra and Redis.
- Strong knowledge of production-grade Spring and Spring Boot development.
- Experience with Kafka messaging middleware and Microservices architecture.
- Expertise in processing Big Data in Parquet format.
- Proven experience in scalable architectures for large media-data processing, analytics, data pipelines and interactive dashboards/visualisation.
- Knowledge of Cloud back-end basics (serverless functions, storage accounts and managed Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of security, CI/CD, testing and monitoring.
