About the Company

For one of our clients in the pharmaceutical industry, we are looking for an experienced Medical Affairs professional who combines strong scientific expertise with a solid understanding of the Belgian regulatory environment.

About the Role

This role sits at the intersection of Medical Affairs, compliance and operations. Reporting directly to the Country Medical Director, you will take ownership of key medical operations activities while acting as the officially certified Responsible for Information & Publicity (RIP) for the Belgian organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing, approving and legally certifying promotional and non-promotional materials
  • Ensuring compliance of materials and external activities with local legislation and applicable codes of practice
  • Acting as the internal subject matter expert for RIP-related procedures and requirements
  • Approving advertising projects
  • Overseeing the training of representatives interacting with healthcare professionals
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations related to pharmaceutical samples
  • Leading Medical Information activities and supporting the team

Alongside your RIP responsibilities, you will help strengthen Medical Affairs operations and excellence across the Belgian organisation. You will coordinate key planning and reporting processes, support the implementation of Medical Infield Excellence, maintain Medical Affairs SOPs and train internal teams on material review requirements and systems such as Veeva.

Qualifications

You bring a strong scientific background and are officially certified by the Belgian Federal Agency for Medicines and Health Products (FAMHP) as Responsible for Pharmaceutical Information (RIP) for medicinal products for human use. Previous experience acting as RIP is a strong advantage.

Required Skills

You are comfortable working across functions and know how to combine regulatory rigour with a pragmatic, business-oriented approach. You can manage tight timelines, communicate clearly and influence stakeholders without necessarily having direct authority. Fluency in Dutch, French and English is required.
