Mission Overview:

Keystone Solutions is seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician for a consultancy mission at a client site. This role involves working on innovative projects focused on the recovery of valuable radioisotopes from waste streams, contributing to sustainable resource use and societal benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct sampling for laboratory analysis, ensuring accurate registration, analysis, reporting, and interpretation of results within set parameters.
  • Perform chemical, physicochemical, and chromatographic analyses, including inductively coupled plasma spectrometry.
  • Execute total activity measurements and radiochemical spectrometry analyses using liquid scintillation techniques.
  • Assist in the accreditation of a quality assurance system in the laboratory to demonstrate the accuracy of analysis results to external parties.
  • Conduct and interpret inter-laboratory tests.
  • Report complaints, non-conformities, and deviations.
  • Organize and execute measurement series in preparation for validation reports.
  • Monitor the functioning of analytical equipment, taking action on issues to ensure optimal analysis conditions.
  • Perform calibrations and controls of laboratory equipment.
  • Contribute to the validation of techniques, methods, and devices.
  • Document deviations in the designated application.
  • Stay updated on new developments and propose relevant innovations/improvements to work with the most recent and accurate analytical techniques.
  • Critically evaluate analytical methods and suggest new possibilities.
  • Participate in training and technical workshops.
  • Adhere to company-specific (inter)national standards and parameters to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Guide regulatory bodies during sampling on-site.
  • Draft and adjust instructions as necessary.

Profile:

The ideal candidate is a mid-level laboratory technician with a strong affinity for and experience in a process laboratory. Knowledge of working with remote-controlled systems and manipulators in a hot cell environment is a significant advantage. Familiarity with radiochemical separation techniques is a valuable asset. The candidate should possess strong analytical skills and demonstrate a precise, structured, and quality-oriented work approach.
