European Shipowners|ECSA is looking to recruit a full-time Communications Project Manager on a one-year contract, who will deliver targeted communications projects designed to raise the profile of European shipping in Europe.
ABOUT EUROPEAN SHIPOWNERS|ECSA
European Shipowners|ECSA is the umbrella organisation of 21 national shipowners' associations of the EU and Norway. European shipowners control around 34.5% of the world's fleet. ES|ECSA's objective is to represent the interests European shipping with the EU institutions.
YOUR TASKS
- Support the communications and policy teams in the planning and delivery of targeted communications projects (see the ES|ECSA 2026 European School Competition as an example), from concept to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard;
- Work closely with ES|ECSA's member associations to support the implementation of communications projects at national level, ensuring consistent messaging across countries;
- Support the organisation of ES|ECSA events, including conferences, receptions and stakeholder meetings;
- Support the work of ES|ECSA's Communications Working Group.
YOUR PROFILE
You are an organised and creative self-starter with:
- A relevant academic degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience in communications and/or project management, ideally in an EU affairs environment;
- A proven track record of managing communications projects and/or events, including planning, budgeting, coordination of external providers and delivery;
- Experience working with member organisations, national associations or multi-stakeholder networks will be considered an asset;
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills and the ability to translate complex issues for non-expert audiences in verbal, written and digital form;
- Experience in digital communication, including social media management and content creation will be considered an advantage;
- Native-level English proficiency. Knowledge of other languages is welcomed;
- Strong time-management and organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment.
