We are looking for a Production Engineer to join our Silicone Manufacturing team in Seneffe, Belgium. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who wants to see the direct impact of their work in a world-class manufacturing environment while developing expertise in process technology, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
As a Production Engineer, you will work at the heart of our operations, turning complex technical challenges into practical solutions that improve safety, reliability, sustainability, and productivity. You will partner closely with operators, technical experts, maintenance specialists, automation engineers, and manufacturing leaders to optimize processes and drive innovation on the plant floor.

ResponsibilitiesPartner with Production and Operations teams to provide technical expertise that drives safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations.
Lead process optimization and asset performance initiatives by applying engineering principles, leveraging operational data, and utilizing process automation and Most Effective Technology (MET) practices.
Drive troubleshooting and root cause investigations, implementing sustainable corrective and preventive actions to enhance reliability, productivity, and operational excellence.
Collaborate with Dow's global network of technical experts and manufacturing specialists to solve complex process challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
Maintain a strong field presence to build operational insight, support front-line teams, and identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, and plant performance.
Analyze process trends, alarm histories, production data, and key performance indicators to proactively identify risks and optimize operations.
Act as a technical resource during plant upsets and unplanned events, enabling safe decision-making and fostering continuous improvement across the production unit.
QualificationsBachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred, in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Initial experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment; experience within the chemical industry is an advantage.
Fluent in French with a good command of English.
Your SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to transform data into practical and sustainable solutions.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and organizational levels.
Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals, including process engineering, mass and energy balances, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and process control.
Curiosity and a continuous learning mindset, with a genuine interest in manufacturing processes and operational excellence.
Ability to prioritize effectively and make sound technical decisions in a dynamic production environment.
Strong ownership, accountability, and commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Flexibility to participate in an on-call rotation and provide technical support outside regular

working hours
