AML Compliance Officer (AMLCO) - Brussels - Fintech M/V/X
Our client is a european fintech operating in the financial services and payments sector. Its Brussels-based offices offer a dynamic, modern and easily accessible working environment within a rapidly evolving industry.
- Act as the AML Compliance Officer and oversee the organisation's AML/CFT framework
- Supervise KYC, CDD, sanctions screening, PEP reviews and transaction monitoring activities
- Manage, coach and develop a team of 6 compliance professionals
- Review and validate complex investigations and elevate sensitive cases when required
- Maintain and enhance AML/CFT policies, procedures and internal controls
- Coordinate regulatory reporting, audits and compliance reviews
- Collaborate closely with legal, risk and operational teams to ensure regulatory compliance
Profil
- Unlimited right to work in Belgium is mandatory for this position : applications without a valid work permit will not be considered.
- Degree in Law, Finance, Compliance, Risk Management or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in AML/CFT, compliance or financial crime within financial services, payments or fintech
- Fluent in English; proficiency in French and/or Dutch is considered an advantage
- Strong knowledge of Belgian and European AML regulations, KYC/CDD, sanctions and transaction monitoring
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven experience leading and developing compliance teams
