You will join Group Prevention and Protection in a key role, working alongside the current Lead of GPP, with the clear objective of taking over the role in a 2 years' perspective and ensuring long term continuity for the function.

As GPP (senior) Manager you are responsible for supporting & managing the Group Prevention & Protection Lead in developing, implementing and controlling the Group Safety, Health and Physical Security and Environmental Compliance programs by promoting and safeguarding the physical security, safety, wellbeing and environmental responsibility of the Proximus Group’s workforce and assets. By managing risks in a proactive and reactive way, he ensures a safe – healthy – secure and compliant work environment and stimulates wellbeing of the employees.

Responsibilities

• As a member of the GPP team, you participate actively in the development and achievement of the objectives and strategy.
• You assist in the development and the dynamic management of Safety & Health, Environmental Compliance, and the wellbeing of the employees.
• You support and help safeguard Environmental compliance across the Proximus Group, ensuring alignment with applicable environmental legislation, permits, and internal standards.
• You are responsible for the application of the statutory duties imposed on the prevention advisor Safety & Health and for supporting environmental regulatory obligations (for dedicated entities/affiliates).
• You analyse, do research and define action plans for Safety & Health, Wellbeing, Environmental Compliance and Physical Security in consultation with the different internal and external actors.
• You assist in defining the Physical Security strategy, work out policies and standards, and contribute to environmental policies and compliance frameworks, operational management of the security systems, processes and procedures.
• You maintain and strive to permanently improve relationships with national and local authorities. You consult with the parties in order to ensure successful realisations so the Safety & Health, Environmental Compliance and Physical Security objectives and strategy can be realized.
• As a trusted advisor and future successor, you will act as delegate of the GPP Department Lead and you will be able to articulate a mid and long term vision for the department including Safety, Health, Physical Security and Environmental Compliance, as well as to defend it towards all main stakeholders throughout the entire company (incl. top senior management leads and unions representatives).

• You are in possession of the certificate of Prevention advisor (General level 1) or are willing to get this degree (considering the specific legal admission rules: basic education master or academic bachelor).
• No obligation; however, experience or certification as an Environment Coordinator is a strong asset.
• You have at least 10 years of business-related experience.
• You are fluent trilingual Dutch, French and English.
• You have a strong integrity and are trustworthy to treat sensitive and sometimes complex files, including regulatory and environmental compliance matters.
• You are a motivator with a high persuasiveness, and your reporting skills must be highly present.
• You have to be stress resistant and multi-task oriented.
• You are a strong communicator with interpersonal and social skills: you have the knowledge to convince, inspire and motivate as well top senior management as employees and employees’ representatives to make them aware of their responsibilities in the domains of Safety, Health, Environmental Compliance and Physical Security.
• You demonstrate strong assertiveness in each GPP domain and you dare speak out loud without being rigid.
• You can build strong effective teams around you, even in a virtual way.
• Due to access to classified information and infrastructure you will be screened by the Belgian Authorities. In case of a negative outcome, you can no longer perform this function (exclusion element).<
