Position Summary

Working under the supervision of the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer (or designee), the role is responsible for leading and advancing the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of compliance monitoring and testing, third party management, and Transparency in the EMEA region

This role further focuses on processes relating to the interactions with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), Healthcare Organizations (HCOs), Government Officials (GOs), complying with EMEA transparency reporting requirements, and the compliance due diligence and auditing and monitoring of third party distributors and high risk third parties, and related controls.

The role also leads compliance training efforts across EMEA, develops tailored engagement strategies, and collaborates cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical, Commercial, Finance, Internal Audit, and Legal/Compliance teams to support key initiatives and projects.

Compliance Program

Third Party Management

  • Oversee, develop, and implement compliances processes regarding the engagement of third party distributors of the company’s products, including the complete due diligence lifecycle of those distributors.
  • Advise and develop changes in third party management systems and processes as needed by changes in the legal and business landscape.
  • Oversee and develop risk assessment processes related to third party management to support business and compliance initiatives and priorities.
  • Oversee, develop, and execute, in collaboration with legal and internal audit, distributor audit and monitoring programs in the EMEA region.

Monitoring and Testing

  • Develop Global and Regional Monitoring and Testing plan to measure the compliance program and related internal controls effectives by collaborating with Finance and other control functions to ensure a scalable, risk-based program is established to move compliance to a predictive model of risk management.
  • Integrate findings into the compliance program framework and regularly advice the business on findings and trends.

Transparency & Reporting

  • Lead collaboration with Finance and Accounting and local stakeholders to collect, validate, and report transfer of value data as required by law or industry associations.
  • Develop and oversee process and best practices regarding EMEA transparency reporting obligations.
  • Provide summary information to business and other stakeholders regarding company transparency disclosures.
  • Advise company regarding changes in EMEA transparency reporting requirements and implement processes relating to those changes.
  • Ensure, in collaboration with finance and accounting, timely and submission of transparency reports in accordance with applicable laws, including:
  • French Sunshine Act
  • Other applicable EMEA regulations
  • Oversee publication of required disclosures in relevant platforms

Compliance Operations

  • Lead the development and implementation of compliance processes relating to interactions with health care professionals, health care organizations, and government officials.
  • Champion implementation and continuous improvement of compliance processes and related internal controls.
  • Partner with legal and business leaders to identify compliance risks and develop and implement practical, business-oriented mitigation strategies.
  • Support and shape data privacy initiatives impacting the EMEA region.

Policy & Governance

  • Lead the review, development, and implementation of regional compliance processes in alignment with the company’s global compliance program and own outcomes.
  • Develop regional guidance documents and job aids to facilitate consistent application of requirements.

Data, Monitoring & Auditing

  • Collect, analyze, and report compliance data to support audits and monitoring activities
  • Generate management reports for senior leadership and governance bodies
  • Track progress against the annual compliance plan and key performance metrics

Systems & Tools
