Job Purpose

Are you energized by a procurement role that allows you to shape strategic external manufacturing partnerships, lead complex commercial negotiations, and support reliable delivery of critical large molecule medicines for patients? If so, this Senior Manager, External Manufacturing Procurement – Large Molecule role could be an ideal opportunity to explore.

As part of GSK’s Global Procurement organization, you will lead sourcing, category strategy, supplier relationship management, and commercial execution across a portfolio of external manufacturing partners supporting biologics drug substance & drug product supply, including monoclonal antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates, and other complex large molecule modalities.

We are looking for an experienced direct procurement professional who can contribute quickly. You will bring strong category strategy, sourcing, negotiation and contracting capabilities. Experience in external manufacturing or large-molecule drug substance and drug product would be valuable, but we also welcome candidates from other direct procurement categories who can demonstrate learning agility, sound commercial judgement and delivery in complex, fast-moving environments.

In this role you will

• Lead end-to-end category and sourcing strategies for outsourced large-molecule drug substance and drug product manufacturing services.
• Run complex sourcing activities and negotiate contracts, including master service agreements, statements of work, pricing arrangements and long-term capacity agreements.
• Manage strategic relationships with contract development and manufacturing organisations and other critical external partners.
• Work across Procurement, External Manufacturing Operations, R&D, Technical, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Legal and product teams.
• Support new product introductions, technology transfers, capacity expansion, supplier transitions and supply-continuity activities.
• Balance value, quality, service, resilience, innovation and risk when making commercial and supplier decisions.

What Success Looks Like

You will be able to step into an active portfolio, establish credibility with business and supplier stakeholders and progress sourcing and contracting activity at pace.

You will understand how to turn business requirements into a clear procurement strategy, lead effective negotiations and make well-reasoned decisions where timelines, supply requirements and commercial considerations must be carefully balanced.

This is a hands-on strategic role without direct reports. It offers broad exposure across GSK’s external manufacturing network, senior stakeholders and critical product activity. We are seeking someone with the appetite and potential to grow into broader procurement leadership in the future.

Basic Qualifications :

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

• A degree in business, supply chain, engineering, life sciences, pharmaceutical sciences or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant expertise.
• Strong direct procurement experience, including category strategy, strategic sourcing and contract negotiation.
• Experience leading complex, high-value sourcing activities and developing effective negotiation strategies.
• Commercial, analytical and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence across a global matrix organisation.
• Experience working in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, healthcare, consumer goods or another relevant manufacturing environment.
• Evidence of being results-focused, quick to act and able to deliver in a demanding portfolio with limited need for day-to-day direction.

Preferred Skills :
