Senior Backend Developer

Development of the first web application for the niche market of deep foundations began in May 2020. Today, nearly six years later, including four years of active operations, CloudPiling proudly looks back on the journey completed and the growth achieved.

Over the years, we have built strong references within the construction industry and successfully expanded at a rapid pace across both Belgium and the Netherlands. The foundations are now in place to further grow our enthusiastic team.

CloudPiling has ambitious plans for the future, and to help realize them we are looking for additional talent. Role and responsibilities

• Our SaaS platform is constantly evolving thanks to the many suggestions and feedback we receive from our customers. On a quarterly basis, the roadmap and objectives are defined in close collaboration with the Lead Developer.
• You are creative in your thinking and actively contribute ideas to improve the software. We value critical minds and expect team members to proactively identify and communicate potential improvements.
• You care deeply about user experience and help further shape it together with our geotechnical engineer and development team.
• You contribute to the backend development of the CloudPiling platform (Python and Django).
• You develop software for geotechnical calculations and foundation optimization.
• You translate technical and engineering challenges into robust and maintainable software solutions.
• You actively think about software architecture, performanceand technical improvements.
• You collaborate with software engineers and geotechnical engineers on new functionalities.
• You safeguard code quality through testing, code reviews, and best practices.
• You take ownership of technical projects and actively contribute to the further development of the platform.
• You work closely with the Lead Developer and report directly to him.

Expertise and personality

• You hold a Master of Science degree in Computer Science or a related field in Information Technology.
• You have a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• You possess strong analytical thinking skills.
• You take pride in delivering high-quality code.
• You present yourself in a professional manner.
• You are based in West or East Flanders.
