Brussel Hoofdstad, Brussel Hoofdstad, Belgique Payflip BV Temps plein 60 000 € - 90 000 € Contrat

We are looking for a Product Manager to own our Flex product. You'll be the first dedicated PM on the Flex team, and you'll hold one of the trickiest balances in the company: shipping strategic product work while continuously improving the experience for 50,000+ employees and their HR teams.

Our Product team

We're building a product team at Payflip that punches way above its weight. Our current Product team consists of multiple squads that autonomously own the full lifecycle of the product: from discovery to production. You'll work together with experienced engineers, designers, and the CPO to deliver on an ambitious roadmap.

Payflip started as a flexible rewards tool. Today, we're becoming Belgium's salary super app: one platform where employees manage their flex plan, meal vouchers, mobility budget, and their payroll. You'll join at the moment where Flex evolves from a standalone tool into a core pillar of that broader salary application.

The Flex squad currently consists of a tech lead and 4-5 engineers, plus two product designers who work across squads. You'll be the PM who ties it all together.

Your mission

Flex is our flagship product. It's also one of our most complex ones. Benefits carry legal and tax implications: every category has its own RSZ rules, fiscal treatment, and joint committee constraints. Getting it wrong has real financial consequences for employers and employees.

Your job is threefold:

From Flex to Salary. We're migrating our HR-admin tool to a new information architecture that can support a full salary platform. You'll lead the scope and decisions on that migration — working with the tech lead, designer, and CPO to build a coherent roadmap.

Continuous improvements. Flex serves 50,000+ users and carries the biggest share of our revenue. Customers expect the product to keep getting better. You'll own a continuous improvement backlog fed by support data, customer feedback, and your own product instincts.

Reduce the support burden. A significant share of our support volume isn't driven by bugs — it's driven by product gaps. You'll find the leverage points where building the right capabilities directly reduces the load on engineering and support, while still shipping value for HR-admins.

The tricky part? Balancing all three. And communicating those tradeoffs clearly — to engineering, to support, to leadership, and to customers.

About you

You would be a good fit with our team if most of this sounds like you:

  • Smart generalist with 2-4 years of professional experience. Could be product, consulting, founder associate, business analyst, or a related role where you had to understand complex systems and make decisions with incomplete information.

  • You learn fast and go deep. When something is complex, your instinct is to understand it, not delegate it. You work from first principles. The kind of person who reads the actual ruling, not the blog post about it.

  • You're a pragmatic simplifier. Complex domain ≠ complex UX. You absorb complexity and propose solutions that feel simple to the user.

  • You write clearly. Specs, trade-off analyses, async updates — writing is your main tool. You can also facilitate an alignment session with 5 opinions in the room.

  • Comfortable with legal and regulatory complexity. You don't need a law degree, but "this is regulated" should not scare you.

  • Energised by depth, not novelty. The real impact in Flex comes from deepening existing flows and catching edge cases. You thrive in that mode. You don't need a blank canvas to stay motivated.

  • Low ego, high standards. You'll be coached by the CPO and your peer PMs. You take feedback well, apply it fast, and push back when you disagree.

  • Fluent in Dutch and English. Dutch is close to a must. User interviews and support tickets are daily work. French is a plus.

Can't tick every box? No worries. Above all we value a high internal drive, curiosity and strong potential: convincing us of this in the hiring process is guaranteed to make you a Payflip'er

About us

Payflip's mission is to thoroughly shake up the Belgian compensation landscape. Do you have health insurance, group insurance, a company car, a bike lease, meal vouchers, and a flex plan spread across six different tools? And an incomprehensible monthly payslip in yet another one?

Gone are these days. Enter: Payflip's salary super app.

One platform, all salary stuff. That way, every employee truly has their salary in their own hands, and an employer wastes less time on fragmented admin. The result? More focus on the team's financial literacy. Without administrative headaches for the HR team.
