Job description
- You develop and maintain data pipelines and backend services, with a focus on data engineering and backend development.
- You work with existing building blocks in Java 21, Python and Go, but also actively think about new components in a greenfield architecture.
- You set up ELT processes and manage data integrations from different source systems to the data lake and data warehouse.
- You will build and maintain backend APIs and services that are at the core of the content platform.
- You work closely with the solution architect to coordinate technical choices and expand the architecture.
- You monitor data quality, performance and scalability of the solutions.
- You work in an Agile/Scrum environment and contribute to code reviews, testing and documentation.
Who are you?
- You have at least 5 years of experience in software development and/or data engineering, preferably in complex or large-scale projects.
- You have experience with one or more backend languages (e.g. Java, Python, Go).
- You have experience with AWS Services such as lambda, sqs, eventbridge, aurora postgresql and dynamodb.
- You have experience with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CloudFormation) and DevOps principles.
- You are a strong communicator and a real team player.
- You have experience working in an Agile/Scrum team.
- You have experience with a CMS (content management system).
- You are open-minded, eager to learn and willing to question existing assumptions.
- You have a good knowledge of Dutch.
In addition, you also have the following experience and skills:
- You have experience in the media sector.
- You have experience with container technology (Docker) and CI/CD.
- You have experience with event-driven architectures and layered construction within microservices.
- You have knowledge of design patterns such as observer/listener, chain of responsibility, strategy.
- You have experience with Quarkus.
- You have a knowledge of data architecture, ELT processes and workflow orchestration (e.g. Apache Airflow).
- You have experience with AEMYou have experience with Prepr.
