You will help keep GMP production processes and utilities running reliably on a Siemens PCS 7 platform, while contributing to the site's modernization and capacity projects.

This role combines day-to-day system ownership with project delivery. You will design, program, test, and qualify PCS 7 applications, from functional specifications through to handover to operations, in a strictly regulated environment.

We're looking for someone with hands-on PCS 7 expertise, a strong quality mindset, and a collaborative approach to help drive process reliability and compliance.

The Role & Responsibilities

Reporting to the automation lead and working closely with production, engineering, and quality stakeholders, your responsibilities will include:

  • Translating process and user requirements into functional and design specifications
  • Developing and modifying PCS 7 applications
  • Configuring controllers, remote I/O, and industrial networks
  • Preparing and executing FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities
  • Supporting qualification and computerized system validation (IQ/OQ)
  • Troubleshooting automation issues and providing second-line support to production
  • Managing changes, deviations, and CAPAs related to automated systems
  • Contributing to system upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management
  • Coordinating with integrators and suppliers on scope, quality, and timelines
  • Writing and maintaining technical documentation and procedures
  • Training operators and technicians on new or modified functionalities.

Skills & Qualifications

  • You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in automation, electromechanics, electrical engineering, or a related field
  • You have at least 5 years' experience in industrial automation, ideally in a pharmaceutical or other GMP-regulated setting
  • You are confirmed working with Siemens PCS 7, including CFC/SFC programming and WinCC visualization
  • You are familiar with GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, and EU GMP Annex 11
  • You understand instrumentation, P&IDs, and electrical schematics
  • You are fluent in French and have a good working level of English
  • Your communication is clear and effective with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • You have a structured, problem-solving mindset and thrive in a dynamic environment.

The Recruitment Process

By applying for the "Automation Engineer - PCS 7" position, you will go through the following steps in our recruitment process:

  • Olivia Braszko, TA Specialist, will analyze your resume and cover letter and schedule a first screening
  • You will have a second interview with our Technical Expert
