Project Manager Educational Technology Projects

KU Leuven is an autonomous university. It was founded in 1425. It was born of and has grown within the Catholic tradition.

Itec is a research group at KU Leuven and imec, the Flemish high-tech research and innovation center for nanoelectronics and digital technologies. Based on the KU Leuven campus in Kortrijk, the group conducts interdisciplinary research focused on the design, development, and evaluation of personalized digital solutions. itec's primary application domains are education, training, and healthcare.
Within several national and European research and innovation projects focusing on educational innovation, AI in education, Learning Analytics, and EdTech solutions, we are looking for a project manager who will ensure that projects are efficiently organized, stakeholders remain engaged, and project objectives are successfully achieved.

Responsibilities

As a Project Manager Educational Technology Projects, you will take on a coordinating and connecting role within a portfolio of research and innovation projects.
You will monitor project progress, support collaboration among partners, and ensure that project objectives are achieved on time and with high quality.

Project Coordination

  • Coordinate national and European research and innovation projects within the field of educational technology.
  • Monitor planning, budgets, deadlines, and reporting obligations.
  • Organize and follow up on project meetings and consortium activities.

Quality Assurance and Reporting

  • Prepare and follow up on project reports and other project documentation.
  • Monitor the quality of project results and deliverables.
  • Identify risks and proactively propose solutions.

Dissemination and Project Development

  • Support communication, dissemination, and valorization activities.
  • Organize workshops, study days, and networking events.

Profile

  • You hold a master's degree, preferably with an affinity for learning, teaching, and technology.
  • You have experience in project management, preferably within education, innovation, or research projects.
  • You are skilled in planning, organizing, and monitoring deadlines.
  • You communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and easily build professional relationships.
  • You are able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain oversight in complex trajectories.
  • You work independently, take initiative, and have a strong sense of responsibility.
  • You have an affinity with educational innovation, educational technology, AI in education, or digital learning solutions.
  • Experience with European or national research and innovation projects is an asset.
  • You possess excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, spoken and written.

Offer

  • A full-time appointment for one year as a scientific staff member under Salary Scale 43, with the possibility of extension subject to positive evaluation and available funding. A part-time appointment can be discussed.
