- Design, implement, and document automated deployment processes for software, operating systems, and supporting applications.
- Develop and maintain tools to monitor deployed systems and software installations.
- Perform first-time production deployments, upgrades, and patches together with the System Administration team.
- Provide support during roll-outs and gather feedback to continuously improve deployment processes.
- Monitor vulnerabilities and drive security-related improvements and remediation activities.
- Manage patching activities for both development and production environments.
- Deploy, maintain, and support development environments within the company intranet.
- Evaluate, test, document, and implement new DevSecOps technologies and concepts.
- Provide second-line support for EBP software and IT equipment located in signaling control zones.
- Occasionally participate in assembly and installation activities for IT equipment in computer rooms and control centers.
- Ensure security considerations are integrated into all technical activities and proactively identify and communicate potential risks.
Key Responsibilities

Must-Have Skills
- Strong expertise in Linux environments, specifically CentOS, Red Hat, and Fedora.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity and technical IT security principles.
- Good understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
- Good knowledge of networking technologies, including:
- Routers
- Switches
- VPNs
- Firewalls
- Experience with deployment and automation tools such as:
- Ansible
- Puppet
- Jenkins
- Basic knowledge of VMware ESXi, vCenter, or similar virtualization technologies.
- Basic experience supporting developer environments and IDEs.
Languages
- Fluent in English.
- Fluent in either Dutch or French.
- Understanding of both Dutch and French is highly desirable.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with one or more of the following:
- Python, Perl, or Bash scripting
- Java, C, C++, or similar programming languages
- Puppet Open Source
- Nagios
- Zabbix
- Databases
- Giti>
- IntelliJ
- Eclipse
- Visual Studio Code
Experience Required
- Master's degree in a technical field, or at least 10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a DevOps-related role.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security.
- Experience in both DevOps and cybersecurity is highly valued.
