CYECO is looking for a full-time Business Development Representative to support the development of new business opportunities in the Belgian construction market.
Based in the Brussels Metropolitan Area, the role will focus on identifying potential clients and projects, approaching new prospects, developing commercial relationships, and following opportunities from the first contact through to quotation and negotiation.
The position involves regular contact with general contractors, developers, architects, engineering offices, suppliers, and other stakeholders within the construction sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify new potential clients, projects, and commercial opportunities
- Prospect and approach companies through calls, email, LinkedIn, meetings, and industry contacts
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Qualify opportunities and understand client requirements
- Present CYECO's services and capabilities to potential customers
- Coordinate internally with the technical and project teams when preparing commercial opportunities
- Follow quotations and commercial discussions with clientsSupport negotiations and follow opportunities through to conclusion
- Maintain an organized pipeline of prospects and ongoing opportunities
- Monitor market activity and identify potential sectors, clients, and projects for CYECO
Qualifications
- Previous experience in B2B sales, business development, account management, or a similar commercial role
- Comfortable with proactive prospecting and developing new customers
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
- Experience in construction, engineering, building services, HVAC, electrical, sanitary, building materials, or another technical B2B sector is a strong advantage
- Good understanding of the Belgian business environment is an advantage
- Able to work independently and manage multiple commercial opportunities
- Comfortable visiting clients, attending meetings, and travelling within Belgium
- Professional working proficiency in French or Dutch
- Good command of English
- Knowledge of both French and Dutch is a strong advantage
- A degree in business, engineering, construction, or a related field is an advantage but practical commercial experience is equally valued
