We're looking for a senior data engineer / BI developer to connect backend data engineering with Power BI reporting. You'll help modernise a data lakehouse, migrate existing pipelines and turn raw data into operational and strategic insights.
What you'll do
- Migrate existing data pipelines and data warehouse structures.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and transformations.
- Build Power BI semantic models, dashboards and reports.
- Translate business questions into visualisations and KPIs.
- Improve lakehouse reliability, scalability and maintainability.
- Optimise report performance and usability.
What you bring
- Five years of experience as a BI developer.
- Three years of experience as a BI consultant.
- At least two years of SQL project experience.
- Experience with ETL, reporting tools and data warehouse modelling.
- Experience with Git and versioning workflows.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric or the Azure data stack.
- Experience developing Power BI semantic models, dashboards and reports.
- A bachelor's or master's degree.
- Dutch, C2.
Nice to have
- Azure Data Factory, dbt and Python.
- Requirements analysis and translating business questions into data models and visualisations.
- Kimball, Inmon or Data Vault modelling.
- Databricks and Apache products.
- Deployment practices.
- Power BI data governance and access management.
- Experience guiding business users in self-service BI.
