Citrix Netscaler System Administrator

What you will do

You will join the Windows Server Team within the IT operations department of a Belgian public-sector organisation. The team is responsible for bringing the entire IT infrastructure into production and keeping it operational, covering both software and hardware.

Your tasks will include:

• Monitoring and resolving 2nd and 3rd line incidents
• Implementing small service requests related to the offered services
• Executing line-of-business releases on application servers
• Performing maintenance on Citrix XenDesktop servers and Remote Desktop Session Hosts
• General maintenance and monitoring of the Windows Server environment

What we are looking for

Essential technical skills:

• Demonstrable experience (2 years) with Citrix Netscaler v12 or higher
• Demonstrable experience (2 years) with Citrix Provisioning Services or Machine Creation Services
• Demonstrable experience (2 years) with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops v2212 or higher
• Demonstrable experience (3 years) as a system administrator (setup, management and maintenance of systems)
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience at system level with at least one of the following: Unix/Linux/Windows, Mainframe, Middleware, security, network and communication systems (generic or specialist)
• Dutch language proficiency at European CEFR level C2

Valuable additional knowledge:

• Experience with ICT infrastructure solutions
• Knowledge and experience of relevant ITIL processes (particularly change management)
• Knowledge of Citrix Workspace Environment Manager
• Knowledge of Citrix XenServer
• Knowledge of FSLogix Apps
• Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policies
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra
• Knowledge of Microsoft Intune
• Knowledge of Microsoft Network Policy Services
• Knowledge of PowerShell

The setting

This assignment runs from 1 December 2026 to 30 November 2027. The role is full-time and based in the Brussels region, with hybrid working possible. You will be working with personal data as part of system development, testing and production issue resolution.

The working language is Dutch at a high professional level (C2).
