Automation Engineer

We are looking for a Automation Engineer to contribute to the development and standardisation of automated production systems. You will play a key role in implementing automation solutions, developing reusable libraries, and ensuring consistency across multiple machine projects.

• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for industrial production equipment.
• Develop and maintain automation standards across multiple special-purpose machinery projects.
• Design and implement reusable automation libraries adapted to project requirements, drawing on ISA-88 principles where relevant.
• Configure and program Siemens PLCs to ensure reliable and efficient machine operation.
• Contribute to the implementation of industrial communication standards, including OPC UA and PLC-to-robot communication.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure consistency, performance, and reliability across automation projects.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for industrial production equipment.
• Develop and maintain automation standards across multiple special-purpose machinery projects.
• Design and implement reusable automation libraries adapted to project requirements, drawing on ISA-88 principles where relevant.
• Configure and program Siemens PLCs to ensure reliable and efficient machine operation.
• Contribute to the implementation of industrial communication standards, including OPC UA and PLC-to-robot communication.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure consistency, performance, and reliability across automation projects.

Your Profile

• You have 4–6 years of experience in industrial automation or a similar engineering role.
• You hold a Master's degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• You have proven expertise in automation, with strong hands‑on experience in Siemens PLC programming.
• You have experience developing and implementing automation standards across multiple industrial projects.
• You are familiar with automation libraries and ISA-88 principles.
• Knowledge of OPC UA and PLC-to-robot communication is a strong advantage.
• You are a native French speaker and have a good command of English.
• You are based in or willing to commute to Welkenraedt, Belgium, and are interested in a long‑term opportunity.
