We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Semiconductor Process Development Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and implementation of advanced semiconductor fabrication processes.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and executing III-V semiconductor processes (InP/GaAs), covering both front-end and back-end processing. You will also drive silicon photonics post-processing development, with a particular focus on back-end-of-line (BEOL) processes, including lithography, metallization, passivation, and bond pad opening.

You will contribute to the integration and transfer of newly developed processes into standardized fabrication flows, ensuring robust, reproducible, and scalable process solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • III-V Semiconductor Process Development: Develop, optimize, and execute front-end and back-end fabrication processes for III-V semiconductor materials, particularly InP and GaAs.
  • Silicon Photonics Post-Processing: Develop and implement silicon photonics BEOL processes, including lithography, metallization, passivation, and bond pad opening.
  • Process Integration: Collaborate with the team to integrate newly developed processes into standardized fabrication flows.
  • Process Optimization: Ensure process robustness, reproducibility, and compatibility with existing fabrication technologies.
  • Cleanroom Execution: Perform hands-on fabrication activities and contribute to process characterization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Master's degree or higher in Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline. A PhD is considered an advantage.
  • Strong practical experience in cleanroom processing and semiconductor fabrication.
  • Solid knowledge of III-V semiconductor processing (InP/GaAs), covering both FEOL and BEOL technologies (Mandatory).
  • Experience with silicon photonics post-processing or silicon BEOL technologies is a strong plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working in a cleanroom environment.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong team spirit, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • A proactive, hands-on mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
