Freelance Automation Engineer (Siemens) – 12 Months + Extension
Start: April / May 2026
Contract: Freelance (6 months + extension)
About the Role
We are supporting a well-established industrial production environment in West Flanders that is looking to strengthen its automation team with an experienced Freelance Automation Engineer.
Due to a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, they are looking for an additional hands-on engineer to support ongoing and future automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support automation projects across production and process environments
- Work on Siemens-based systems, including development, optimisation, and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with internal teams and external integrators
- Assist with commissioning, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide hands‑on support on‑site where required
What You Bring
- Strong experience with Siemens automation systems
- Proven experience with:
- PCS7
- Solid project experience across industrial/process environments
- Good understanding of process‑driven industries (e.g. food, chemicals, manufacturing)
- Ability to work independently and integrate into existing teams
- Dutch‑speaking and based locally in Belgium (West Flanders region preferred)
- Freelance contract (6 months + extension)
- Location: West Flanders (primarily on‑site with some flexibility)
