This role is open to both current staff and external candidates. The conservatoire is a prominent institution in Flanders, offering a range of programs in music, drama, and dance, as well as educational programs in artistic disciplines. The selected candidate will be responsible for training musicians through various teaching methods, including individual and group classes, rehearsals, and pedagogical projects.
Candidates should be professional classical singers with experience in solo, Lieder, opera, and oratorio performances. A broad repertoire knowledge, from Baroque to contemporary music, is essential, along with a strong record of concerts and recordings. Applicants should have experience coaching different voice types and possess connections within the Belgian music scene. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a combination of artistry and pedagogical skills, be a team player, and show enthusiasm for teaching and student development. Flexibility and a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration are also important traits for this role.
