Responsibilities
- Own and deliver complex actuarial projects, ensuring high quality and timely delivery.
- Lead actuarial valuations for employee benefits under IAS 19 (IFRS) and ASC 715 (US GAAP).
- Provide technical expertise to audit teams on employee benefits accounting, reviewing pension obligations and IORP technical provisions.
- Act as trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders on employee benefits and pension matters.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional PwC teams to deliver integrated, client‑focused solutions.
- Plan, schedule and budget projects to meet client expectations.
- Coach, mentor and develop colleagues, fostering knowledge sharing and team growth.
- Contribute to development of new services, innovation and business opportunities within the actuarial practice.
Qualifications
- Qualified actuary with at least 8 years of experience in employee benefits and actuarial consulting.
- Strong knowledge of IAS 19, ASC 715 and Belgian pension legislation (IORP).
- Proven experience managing projects from planning through delivery.
- Ability to coach, develop and empower team members, providing clear feedback.
- Strong communication skills, able to translate complex actuarial concepts into practical insights for non‑specialists.
- Analytical mindset with a structured problem‑solving approach.
- Collaborative team player who thrives in a diverse and inclusive environment.
- Proactive, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving context.
- Commercial awareness to identify client needs and opportunities.
- Fluent in English and good command of French and/or Dutch.
