We're looking for a Natural and ADABAS developer to move data from BS2000 to Linux without disrupting existing processing. You'll build extraction, transformation and replication components so both environments can run in parallel, keeping their data as synchronised as possible.
What you'll do
- Analyse legacy programs, jobs, objects and data flows.
- Develop modules for data extraction and transformation.
- Build replication between BS2000 and Linux without initially changing source processes.
- Test and reconcile source and target data for completeness and consistency.
- Detect missing records, duplicates and incorrect mappings or transformations.
- Document analyses, components, mappings, test results and corrective actions.
What you bring
- Strong experience with BS2000 mainframe processes and data objects.
- ADABAS for Mainframe BS2000 version 8.2.
- Natural for Mainframes BS2000 version 8.2.7 or higher.
- BS2000 tools: SDF, JCL, EDT and LMS.
- Data reconciliation, replication and transformation skills.
- Office 365.
- Ability to interpret legacy code despite incomplete or outdated documentation.
- Attention to detail, systematic testing and clear technical documentation.
- Initiative to identify information gaps, risks and dependencies.
- Ability to prioritise across databases, processes and data flows.
- French, B2.
- Dutch, B2.
- English, B2.
