Role

As a Technical Project Manager you’ll play a key role in the execution of automation projects for container terminals worldwide. You’ll be responsible for the entire project cycle from engineering and planning to handover to the customer.

You will manage international projects around the world and collaborate with clients, partners, and colleagues in various countries. To successfully oversee projects, you are willing to spend approximately 10% of your time traveling internationally.

You are an experienced electromechanical engineer who combines technical expertise with strong project management and communication skills. You know how to bring people together, manage expectations, and successfully complete projects.

You will report directly to the Project Operations Manager.

Your Role

  • You manage international projects from start to finish: planning, budget, scope, quality, and timing.
  • You are the primary point of contact for the client and build a strong relationship based on trust.
  • You lead multidisciplinary teams (project engineers, software engineers, technicians, and subcontractors).
  • You ensure technical quality without losing sight of the broader project goal.
  • You anticipate risks, proactively resolve issues, and keep all stakeholders properly informed.
  • You ensure clear technical documentation and coordinate implementation in accordance with agreed upon quality and safety standards.
  • You combine technical expertise with leadership and take responsibility for the final result.

Profile

  • Master’s degree in Electromechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in an industrial setting.
  • Strong technical background in electromechanics.
  • Experience with industrial automation is a major asset.
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar software is a plus.
  • You look forward to managing global projects and are willing to travel internationally approximately 10% of the time.
