Modern Workplace Engineer

The Rank1 Professional Services team is responsible for the day-to-day IT support of around 40 SMEs across a wide range of sectors. This goes beyond traditional management: we work closely with the client, develop forward-looking solutions and ensure that their IT environment remains secure, stable and high-performing. The consultancy team consists of highly skilled IT professionals who undertake long-term projects for our clients.

As a Modern Workplace Engineer, you will contribute to the design, set-up and implementation of the digital workplace and collaboration platforms for our clients. You have a good knowledge of and experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Teams and CoPilot, Viva, in terms of topology, deployment and maintenance.

In addition, together with your colleagues, you will manage both the on-premises and cloud server infrastructure and be open to new technologies and developments within the Microsoft ecosystem.

Your responsibilities include not only new implementations but also troubleshooting and optimising existing environments. You liaise with the client, document your actions and apply best practices as a matter of course. You actively seek out opportunities to automate or streamline system administration processes through scripting (e.g. PowerShell).

You don’t just resolve incidents; you think proactively and advise clients on potential improvements and optimisations to their IT environment. Your profile

• You adapt quickly to new situations, technologies and procedures.
• You think in terms of possibilities, not problems.
• You communicate fluently in Dutch, English and/or French.
• Ideally, you’ll have a Bachelor’s degree in ICT. Are you self-made and have you already proven yourself in the job market? You’re just as welcome
• Relevant certifications (Microsoft, AWS, etc.) are a plus, as is a basic understanding of ITSM tools and ITIL.
