What you will do
You will join the IT team of a public-sector organisation to reinforce their DevOps capacity. Working closely with the in-house DevOps engineer, you will:
- Assist and advise on various DevOps tasks and projects
- Support Linux server migrations and guide developers through the process
- Ensure the security of application platforms
- Contribute to web application projects
- Perform maintenance and updates on virtual machines
- Act as backup for the in-house DevOps engineer, working autonomously when needed (with support from the team lead)
- Advise on improvements and best practices in security
The assignment begins with an onboarding period of approximately five days to familiarise yourself with the infrastructure. You will then move on to reinforcing the team in updates and maintenance tasks.
What we are looking for
- Expert-level knowledge of Linux
- Expert-level experience with Ansible
- Expert-level experience with Apache and Tomcat
- Expert-level experience with Jenkins
- Expert-level experience with Git
- Expert-level knowledge of Java
- Security expertise
- Strong communication skills
- Recent hands-on experience (this year) with most of these technologies
- Native-level French
The setting
This assignment runs for four months, starting as soon as possible and ending late January 2027. The role is part-time at 3/5.
The work mode is hybrid, with the main location in Brussels. French is the working language.
