Productieleider

As Production Manager, you will be responsible for the complete management of the production department in Meise (VLAB, BE). You coordinate and optimise the production processes to guarantee qualitative end results. A key focus is on leading a team of around 25 employees in the production of metal, stainless steel, wood, marble and glass.

Below your main tasks and responsibilities:

• Manage and develop production policy, including prioritisation.
• Planning and organising the use of machinery and working hours.
• Monitoring production progress and machine efficiency; taking action on deviations.
• Optimising production times, material consumption and working capital.
• Drafting and managing the operating budget.
• Working to train, motivate and coach employees.
• Ensuring a safe and structured working environment.
• Collaborate with work preparation, project managers and other departments.
• Doing drawing work yourself and thinking along in practical solutions where necessary.

Voor deze dynamische functie zoeken wij een kandidaat die zich herkent in onderstaand profiel:

• Minimaal 5-10 jaar ervaring in een productieomgeving, bij voorkeur met focus op metaalbewerking of een gerelateerd domein.
• Aantoonbare ervaring met leidinggeven aan teams van diverse ervaringsniveaus.
• Bij voorkeur een Bachelor of Master diploma, maar relevante ervaring kan dit compenseren.
• Vaardigheid in het plannen en organiseren van werk en resources.
• Uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden in het Nederlands; basiskennis van Frans en Engels is een plus.
• Bereidheid om vroeg te starten (6:30 starttijd, werkdag van 8 uur) en flexibel mee te denken buiten de 9-tot-5-mentaliteit.
• Sterke people management skills en het vermogen om medewerkers te coachen en motiveren.
