Responsibilities
- You serve as the first point of contact for colleagues regarding the application of procedures or the use of the claims management system, and provide them with the operational support they need;
- You review and approve payments, carefully following applicable procedures to ensure excellent service;
- You actively participate in projects focused on improvement and optimization, so that we can continuously enhance the quality of our services;
- You play a crucial role in meetings with internal experts and external partners, such as victims and insurance brokers, where your constructive attitude is of great importance;
- You share your knowledge and experience with your colleagues and provide training on procedures and standards, so they can perform their duties with confidence;
- You identify training needs within the team and organize training sessions for claims managers, thereby contributing to their professional development and the quality of our services.
Qualifications
- Holds a bachelor’s degree in insurance, law, economics, or finance, or has gained comparable experience;
- Has at least five years of experience in claims management;
- Is fluent in both French and Dutch and has a good command of English;
- Communicates clearly, empathetically, and professionally with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, colleagues, managers, brokers, victims, and experts;
- Is an enthusiastic trainer who mentors others and shares his or her expertise in an inspiring way;
- Takes initiative, sets priorities, and maintains a clear overview, even in complex situations.
Additional Qualifications
- Has knowledge of relevant legislation, such as the Hague Convention and the Badinter Act;
- Experience with international claims management (Foreign Claims) is a plus;
- Is comfortable fostering collaboration within the team and can also work independently;
- Is curious, actively monitors new developments, and readily shares this knowledge with colleagues;
- Knowledge of an additional foreign language is an asset when managing international claims;
- Works in a structured manner, anticipates operational needs, and can adapt flexibly to changing priorities.
