Test Engineer, Niveau Expert

We're looking for a hands-on expert test engineer to implement automated testing for a cloud-based solution using APIs, microservices and zero trust.

What you'll do

• Turn the test strategy into an operational agile test plan.
• Validate business logic, data integrity and E2E user flows.
• Test API contracts, security and integration with external systems.
• Run performance, stress and load tests.
• Develop automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement monitoring and logging across development, test and acceptance environments.

What you bring

• 10+ years' testing experience; hands-on implementation, integration and use during the last five working years.
• Higher education degree in computer science.
• Five years with test automation, API and UI test frameworks; good HTML DOM knowledge.
• Five years with regression, integration, E2E, performance, stress and load testing.
• Five years with contract testing, mocking and service virtualisation.
• Five years with monitoring, observability and build tools.
• Five years implementing CI/CD pipelines and integrating tests.
• Five years scripting in Python and JavaScript.
• Three years programming with Java SE10+ and using SQL databases.
• Five years working in agile delivery teams.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders; ability to recommend alternatives.
• Ongoing learning in cloud-native engineering, development and testing.
• Dutch or French, B2.
• English, B2.

Nice to have

• Grafana, Bruno, Cypress, JUnit, Cucumber, JMeter, Gatling, Maven or Azure DevOps.
• API design and development; microservices development and integration.
• Cloud, API, microservice and event-based software design.
• Event-driven architecture, Event Driven Development, Behaviour Driven Development or Domain Driven Design.
• Knowledge of existing building blocks and services.
