A large part of our production is automated, our technical team is essential to what we do.

As a Maintenance Technician at The Salmon Atelier, you make sure our machines and production lines keep running. When something stops, you find out why and get it moving again. But your job goes further than maintenance. You also help us improve existing equipment and develop new automation as our production evolves. It is a hands on technical role with a lot of variety and a direct impact on our production every day.

What you’ll do

You maintain, troubleshoot and improve the machines and installations throughout our atelier. You carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, analyse technical failures and solve them as quickly as possible. You set up and adjust production lines, monitor their performance and look for ways to make them run better. Your work can range from adjusting and sharpening knives on a production line to working on electrical and mechanical components, cooling installations and other technical infrastructure.

And we do not just maintain what we already have. You will also help develop and implement new technical solutions and automation.

Who we’re looking for

You have a technical background in electromechanics, electricity, mechanics or a similar field, either through education or experience. You enjoy figuring out why something does not work and, more importantly, how to make it work again. You are practical, technically curious and willing to keep learning.

You do not need to know our machines before you start. We will teach you how they work and provide the technical training you need to develop further.

Experience is valuable, but we are also open to someone at the beginning of their career who has the right technical foundation and the drive to learn.

Our production environment is cold and our machines regularly come into contact with water, so you should be comfortable working in these conditions.

What you can expect

This is not a job where you spend every day doing the same maintenance round. Our production is highly automated, so you will work across different technical domains and encounter very different challenges. You are part of a small technical team, which means your work has an immediate impact. When a machine stops, production depends on you. When you see a way to improve something, there is room to turn that idea into a solution.

And we invest in your technical knowledge. You will receive training on the machines and installations you work with, including specific training on our BAADER equipment. We also provide broader technical education in areas such as electricity, mechanics and electromechanics. The goal is not just to teach you how to maintain the machines we have today. We want you to keep developing your technical skills so you can help us improve and automate our production in the future. You will have room to learn, take responsibility and grow with the technical side of our atelier.
