As the manager of the Claims team, you play a crucial role in the success of both your employees and the organization. You create an environment where people can grow, collaborate, and provide excellent service to real estate agents. Thanks to your experience in claims management, your coaching leadership style, and your results-oriented approach, you know how to perfectly balance quality, efficiency, and engagement.

  • You will lead the Claims team and coordinate its day-to-day operations. In doing so, you will ensure high-quality, efficient, and customer-focused service for our brokers.
  • You coach, motivate, and evaluate your employees. You provide clear direction, monitor the proper application of processes, and create opportunities for their continued development.
  • You serve as the point of contact for your team regarding complex or sensitive claims and support them in handling cases accurately and consistently.
  • You translate organizational goals into clear team objectives and closely monitor results, quality, turnaround times, and workloads. You make adjustments as needed.
  • You stay on top of developments and actively engage your employees, both during team meetings and coaching sessions as well as in day-to-day collaboration.
  • You focus on both short-term results and the long-term development and employability of your employees.
  • You map out administrative and operational processes and improve them together with the team. You implement existing and new systems and procedures in a targeted manner to increase efficiency, profitability, quality, and service.
  • You ensure transparent reporting and a smooth exchange of information with your team, management, other departments, and external partners.
  • You work closely with the other team leaders to continuously improve service delivery and cross-team operations.
  • You support the implementation of management decisions, guide change within your team, and act as an ambassador, both internally and externally.
  • You report directly to the COO.
  • You have proven experience successfully leading a claims team in auto, fire, and family insurance.
  • You are a strong people manager: you coach, motivate, and provide clear feedback.
  • You combine positive energy and drive with a distinctly team-oriented approach.
  • You take on a leadership role naturally and convincingly, even in challenging situations.
  • You communicate clearly, openly, and in a way that fosters connection, and you possess highly developed social skills.
  • Your leadership style is engaged and results-oriented: you set clear expectations, focus on output, and help employees reach their full potential.
  • You are passionate about the insurance industry and understand the expectations of brokers.
  • You work in a structured, project-based manner and know how to set priorities.
  • You are analytical, creative, and solution-oriented, and take the initiative to continuously improve processes and service delivery.
  • You are results-oriented and make well-reasoned decisions based on data and facts.
  • You feel at home in a no-nonsense environment where open communication, ownership, and a hands-on approach are key.
  • You have in-depth technical knowledge of claims management and the relevant legislation, legal doctrine, case law, and conventions.
  • You have an excellent command of Dutch and a good working knowledge of French.
  • You are proficient with modern IT systems and open to digitization and process automation.
