Finance Director – Belgium & France

Looking for a role where Finance really shapes the future of the business? This is it.

Our client is an international leader in engineered solutions for the construction industry. Its products make building sites safer, faster and more sustainable. Recently acquired by a private equity investor, the group now operates as a standalone platform with focus on growth, operational excellence and value creation.

To lead its Belgian and French operations through this exciting new chapter, we are looking for a Finance Director, Belgium & France.

Your mission

As a key member of the Management Team and a strategic partner to the Managing Directors, you will own the complete Finance agenda across both countries: control, reporting, FP&A, tax, treasury and statutory compliance. You will also:

  • Be the trusted business partner of management: independent challenge, clear insight, practical decision support
  • Lead budget and forecasting cycles and drive performance actions with business leaders
  • Partner with Sales on pricing, margins and customer and product profitability
  • Partner with Operations on production costs, product costing and inventory
  • Drive cash generation and working capital, and steer capex and strategic investment decisions
  • Lead the Finance transformation: simplification, standardization, automation and SAP
  • Lead, coach and grow a multi-site Finance team of around 20 people in Belgium and France
  • Secure a robust internal control environment (SOX) and timely closing and statutory reporting

Your profile

  • 10+ years of progressive Finance experience, including senior leadership of a full country or business Finance function
  • Background in manufacturing, construction products or industrial environments (strongly preferred)
  • Solid knowledge of Belgian and French statutory, tax and treasury requirements, and of SOX
  • Proven track record in Finance transformation and ERP projects (SAP preferred)
  • Experience in international, matrixed and ideally PE-backed environments
  • Fluent in English, Dutch and French
  • A hands-on, pragmatic and accessible leader who is as comfortable with strategy as with detail

Why join?

  • A truly strategic role with real impact on value creation
  • A dynamic PE-backed setting where decisions are made fast
  • A cross-border scope with diverse teams and cultures
  • An attractive package in line with the level of responsibility
